I felt the warm sun above smile,
as it smoothly sailed across the urban isle.
They let out a light gleam as they were free,
Quietly tapping my house with glee.

I stepped out to the forest,
Being encountered by a warm pat on the neck, as if I was a guest,
Around me the quaint leaves then sung as if they were blessed.

My flowing gaze has finally been found
As they made a spontaneous symphony with a whimsical sound,
Around my evergreen forest in which they were bound.

I sat down to take it all in that day,
The warm touch coming from a sun ray,
The crisp leaves swaying, wanting to lay,
All of this, comforting me in its own way.

I sat down to hear the trees silently talk.
Their leaves slowly falling down gracefully like a flock.
The falling greenery soothing my mind, giving me a tranquil mental walk,
The opposite of uncomfortable, a beautiful comfort.

I sat down to listen in silence.
Hear the landscape and its whimsical tales,
Harmonizing as they sway with the wind,
and help me feel myself once again.
